Wandering on the Creative Path: Season 2

Spread the love

Last year, I started a podcast. It took me a while to decide to do it. I released 10 episodes, plus an introduction. Then…?

I could make up a lot of excuses, but there wouldn’t be any sense in that. Let’s just say I procrastinated and didn’t get any more done. I’ve been thinking about doing it again. I’ve considered changing platforms. Right now it’s on SoundCloud. The thing of it is, the other platforms I considered charge monthly fees. If I keep the episodes short so I don’t use more than my monthly allotted space, SoundCloud is free. So I’ll be staying there for a while.

Upcoming episodes include a bit about my new book (there are people there who don’t read here), creating while ill, practical creativity tips, what I’m reading, what I’m working on, a few creativity tips, exercises to get out of a rut, and more.

Most of my episodes are around 5 minutes. They’re easily digestible and can fit in those spaces where you have just a few minutes and don’t want to or can’t start a 20- or 30-minute episode of another podcast. However, on that note, I am looking to do a few special themed episodes where I would have guests on with me for an interview about their creative process. If you’re interested, send me an email with “Podcast Guest” in the subject line.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Happy creating.

The general topic is creativity. Episodes address tips, exercises, coaching, the creative process, getting out of ruts, and more. As long as it can be related to creativity, it’s good.

*Mind blown* – I thought podcasts had to be awkward-painfully long! I have made audios that long and a bit longer. Maybe I need to consider podcasts. Can you record them in advance, so they occur weekly or monthly but aren’t live? That would be perfection!

That’s how I do mine. I record them using Audacity, then I edit out most of the ums and ahs, sneezes/coughs, flubs, and long pauses. I don’t think SoundCloud has the option to upload and schedule, so I just upload the day I want it to go live. I do need to see if advance scheduling is an option, though.
